Paul was elated by the people in Berea. Yes, they liked to listen to his teaching but they understood that it was their responsibility to go to the Bible and decide whether, or not, what he said was true. Paul said that it was the truth that was true and it had nothing to do with the eloquence of the speaker. He said, if an angel of light or even if he Paul himself came and told them a different gospel, that would be evil. In first John 4: 1, he says, “beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: Because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

If I do not, then who’s opinions do I worthship, do I consider important? Jesus claimed to be the beginning, middle and end of all knowledge, the Logos. In Romans 1 it says that science should speak of him, Paul uses sports analogies to teach us how to live for Christ.
