WHO’S THE OWNER ANYHOW?

For I am his master-creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works. I am bought with a price. Having sold myself off cheaply, I have been redeemed at the Devil’s pawn shop where I had been priced as worthless and scheduled to be dumped into the dumpster in the alley out back. But! I have been purchased by his blood, cleansed rehab-ed and am a new creation in Christ. I am not just loved I am now LOVABLE, no longer dirt I am now  pure gold, changed by his amazing alchemy. I Corinthians 6.20, 7.23

So where does any thought of ownership come from? It’s not my time my reputation, my things, my family, my children, my health, I AM BUT HELD ACCOUNTABLE AS THE STEWARD-IT’S ALL HIS, and boy oh boy does he take good care of what belongs to him! Luke 12.42

One of our first learned words if MINE! I have learned to open up my fist and hold all things in an open palm. He gives he takes away blessed be the name of the Lord! If he wants to bless and use me for the kingdom, he might choose to give me a dream and then make it impossible. Then give it to me again and sometimes kill the dream again. That way I won’t wind up loving the dream more than the dreamer, loving the ministry more than the minister. When it is time for him to take away, for safekeeping, the dream he has given: then if my fist is closed tightly around it my fist will be hurt as he takes it away.

THAT WHICH I “OWN” WILL SOON OWN ME!

Oh the freedom of it ALL belonging to God!

I am no fool if I quit clinging to that which is not really mine and I can’t keep anyhow: in order to obtain that which is truly mine and can never be taken away. I’m laying up treasures in heaven where there are no moths or rust or thieves. Matthew 6.20

Perhaps the most irritating part of God’s truth on ownership is that I will be held accountable for my stewardship of what does not belong to me. Have you ever had something that others borrowed then took worse care of than if it than if it were their own? Well God owns my body, how am I taking care of it? He owns my car, am I caring for it and using it as the owner would approve?

Fortunately he does not want me to be uptight, fearing his power and ownership so burying my talents and resources in the back yard. He wants me to be available to move my body parts according to a growing picture of his principles applied to my current situation. He then takes my feeble efforts and multiplies them and makes them significant. He gets the ownership I get the use, he gets the glory I get the blessing. Pretty good deal in my estimation!

LORD I PUT ALL ON THE ALTAR, I OWN NOTHING, I RECEIVE ALL FROM YOU, HELP ME TO ENJOY AND USE AND INVEST AND STEWARD. BLESS MY FEEBLE EFFORTS
