A Way In A Manger

Jesus was so much more than anything that we can imagine or desire. One thing that he is and longs to fulfill his role in our lives is that he was The Way. Jesus said, I am the Way the Truth, and the Life! John 14:6 You can’t come to the Father except through Me!”

Instead of being called Christians, early believers were called, “Followers of the Way!”

One way to let him be THE WAY is, to come through him, to the Father. One of God’s favorite names is ABBA.

Abba is the first word most children learn and is found in unrelated languages around the world. Abba is the endearing name for Father. Just as Jesus came as a baby so that we might learn about the Father without fear. So he wants us to come as little adopted children crying, “Abba”. Romans 8:15 In fact, he said that if we do not come with a child’s heart and attitude, we can not even get into the kingdom. This attitude, this sense of childlike wonder and rest in his love is one of the fruits of the Spirit working in our lives as we follow Jesus

Again in John 14:6, Jesus said that the way to the place that he was preparing for us was through him. We get to heaven by focusing on following Jesus.

John 10:9 Jesus is the “door” and the way. We must enter to be saved and find pasture.

Acts 4:12 There is no other way!

Hebrews 10:19-22 Jesus is the living way to the mercy seat, having torn the veil so that we may come boldly with fully assured hearts.

Genesis 24:27 “I being in the way, the Lord led me!”

Proverbs 4:11-13 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.

Proverbs 3:6 In all my ways I need to have as my purpose, to know Jesus better, then he will direct my paths.

Psalm 27:11 Teach me your way and lead me in a plain path.

Jesus was a way in a manger and now wants to be the way in our lives.

One reply on “A Way In A Manger”

AMEN! That is so amazing to think and ponder that GOD the Father desires for us to call HIM ABBA! I praise my ABBA Father for being just that ABBA. We as Christians miss out on so much because of our being blind to the LORD’S leading in our lives.
